Expectations

Expectations

The new year is upon us. It seems to me that it happened really quickly this year. I suppose that the older you get that the quicker the years seem to go by, but that is exactly why our time is so valuable to us. As we head into 2013, I do not want to make empty resolutions that will eventually be tossed to the way side in a month or two, but I want to set something in place that can be used for the entire year. 2013 is going to be the year of Expectations from God.

Psalm 62:5- My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

We can not afford to put our time and effort into “resolutions” with no backing, but for 2013 we will put our time and effort into expectations from God! I don’t have the time to waste on things man made like resolutions, but only when my expectations come from God alone then I have a heavenly future awaiting me.

I don’t want to be the type of church goer that comes to church and will only praise and worship when I like what I feel from other people’s praise or the music. I don’t want to be the type of church goer that only moves when I feel the spirit of God stirring, but I want to be the type of saint that praises and worships every chance I get, so that when I walk into a church now, I expect a move of God, I expect people to get their healing, I expect an outpouring of the Holy Ghost to save lost souls. For 2013 I want it to be a year of expectations from God.

For this up coming year for every blog I post and everything that I do, I will keep expectations from God in it. #2013Expectations.
