I’m not for sale
The world that we live in has become more incredibly superficial than I think anyone could have ever imagined. There is nothing wrong with being successful and having a lot of nice things, but when those ‘things’ take the place of your prayer, your Bible study, and your time spent giving your support to your church, then there becomes a problem.
Proverbs 23:23- Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
To my knowledge there has never been a time where the minds of mankind have ever been tested so much and to such a great degree. We are continually tempted, tried, and finding ourselves in uncomfortable situations just in living our basic day to day lives. Social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), television (whether you own one or not they are everywhere now), and nearly every website that you go to has some type of temptation trying to pull your mind away from things that are holy.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that you need to live like a hermit hiding from the world, but I am saying that at a time such as this, we must grab a hold onto The Truth and never let it go. You will need wisdom, instruction, and understanding to make it through just a typical day. That is why we need Bible study, Church on Sunday, Wednesday, and whenever the doors are open. If we hope to make it to Heaven then we are going to need The Truth with wisdom, with instruction from our church, and understanding from God. The devil has to know that God’s people are not for sale.
Ephesians 4:5- One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism.
Praise the Lord
